Protests rocked Amal Jyoti Engineering College in Kerala as students demanded justice following the tragic suicide of a second-year student. Sradha Sateesh, a native of Tripunithara, was found hanging in the college hostel on June 2. The college students have alleged that Sradha was mentally tortured by the college staff. Kerala Education Minister has ordered a probe by the Crime Branch in the matter and sought a detailed report.
