The first verse states that God is the source of the Living Water (John 4:10). It also draws our attention to the need to contemplate deeper on the Word of God.

The second verse echoes a prayer for the early return of Christ- Maranatha (1 Corinthians 16.22) as the Day of the Lord is near. Perilous times are here and the night is approaching fast, thus there is an  urgent need to accomplish the task.

The third verse is quoted from Romans 10:14-15, emphasising the importance of sharing the Gospel and the need to commission people to serve God.

All in all the song climax with the need to send workers to the harvest field as it stated in Matthew 9: 37- 38, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into the harvest." (NET)
