Troops of Assam Rifles and Indian Army who are continuously engaged in flood relief operations on the third day in Manipur and Tripura.

More than 110 citizens were rescued from Lilong, Chajing Karam, Samurou Makha Leikai and Uchiwa in Manipur and Lalchara, Khowai in Tripura. The flood relief columns of Assam Rifles and Indian Army provided assistance by supplying emergency rations, cooked food, drinking water, spraying insecticides, establishing shelters, relief camps, and repair of embankments of Imphal river in Irong. A large number of medical teams have been deployed to cater to the affected populace in the state reeling under the effects of the flood.

Total 10.1 tons of relief material dropped today by the Armed Forces.
