Hello and welcome to my brand new series on Pokémon toy reviews, from the Auldey Tomy Chinese brand of Pokémon figurines.
My collection consists of gen 1 pokémon, all from the original first wave ever of tomy Pokémon figures, which came out in 1998 in Canada.

Monster Collection (Japanese: モンスターコレクション Monster Collection) is a line of collectible Pokémon figures produced by Takara Tomy in Japan. Also known as simply 'Tomy Figures', they are standard PVC models of each Pokémon. There is at least one of every Pokémon, except while the newest line is still in production.

In Japan, Monster Collection figures can be purchased at many stores, including Pokémon Centers where all of the current figures are sold for ¥294 each. The USA Pokémon Center may also sell a selection of Monster Collection figures. They also offer special 'Bundles' of them as well.

The Hasbro equivalents that were sold worldwide were known as Battle Figures
Battle Figures are 2-inch Pokémon figurines distributed by Tomy and Hasbro from 1998 to 2003. Included in the basic sets were two figurines, a Poké Ball or Master Ball and two Battle Discs.
The same figurines were also distributed in other packs by Hasbro, namely Poké Ball Blaster, Poké-Packs, Grabber Ball, and Deluxe Trainers.
First release
Reverse of the first and second releases
This first release was available starting in November 1998[1] and later many of these were retired for the United States market.
Second release
This second release was available starting in May 1999[1]
