Connecting Solar Panels in Series or Parallel?

Solar panel connection can be a bit tricky! The bottom line is that panels will output the same power no matter how they are connected and there are pros on cons to connecting in both series and parallel. What we found is that using a combination of both series and parallel within our solar grid works best for our application. Always remember that wires are rated to carry a certain amount of current. If you exceed that current and are not fused properly, this can lead to fire!
