We are slowly introducing him to 'quiet play time'. Especially, since he is now starting to skip his nap time. At 3 years old, we are trying to establish a new routine apart from his active play time and to reduce his screen time.

I learned that quiet time - when done right, can help increase mindfulness, demonstrate independence, promote creativity and help regulate emotions (hello tantrum phase!).

I couldn't agree more because I myself also commit to establishing my own quiet time and I reap the same benefits.

I also thought it's beautiful to watch him when he is in his element. He's pretty much like me and his dad when we are completely engrossed in something that we enjoy doing.
