Commissioned by the Forum for African Arts, for the exhibition Authentic/Ex-centric at the Venice Biennale 2001.
Snow White continues an exploration of what
one might call the incredible weightiness of color. In Snow White, a
video installation that ironically evokes the fairy tale of the same
name, Searle whose ancestry spans three continents, metaphorically
takes the audience through a cycle of visibility and erasure
reminiscent of experiences under the ideological constructs of
