The Legend of Robbin Hood tells the tale of the most famous hero of English mythology. Robin of Locksley returns from fighting alongside King Richard to discover his father has died and Prince John, King Richard's evil brother has given the Locksley estate to his aide, Sir Guy of Gisborne. Serving him in his corrupt activities is the Sheriff of Nottingham.

Robin becomes an outlaw, moving into Sherwood Forest with Friar Tuck, Will Scarlet, Little John, and other outlaws. Together they form a skilled fighting group who have taken refuge in the forest, dedicating themselves to the restoration of law and order. Maid Marian, who is being pressured to marry Sir Guy. becomes an ally, along with a mysterious knight who has bester Friar Tuck.

An archery contest is announced, and Robin, a skilled archer, enters it but it is a trap set up by Prince John. Robin wins the Silver Arrow award, but his identity is discovered and he is sentenced to death.

The mysterious knight comes forward and reveals himself as King Richard, reclaiming his rightful kingdom.
