2021 rolled around fast, but with in the wake of the recent pandemic, the new regulations are delayed. Audi Sport join the grid, with a strong midfield entry, heavily based on the 2020 Mercedes.

2022 arrives and Audi have a brand new car and an intent to challenge to championship.
