فى خلال الحرب على غزة تعجب الكثيرين من موقف أيرلندا المؤيد القوي للحق الفلسطيني، لقد تحرك الأيرلنديين لنصرة القضية الفلسطينية والشعب الفلسطيني. والسبب فى هذا بسيط، كما قال رئيس الوزراء الأيرلندي: قضيتهم تذكرنا بقضيتنا.. قصة أيرلندا هي قصة حزينة وفى نفس الوقت ملهمة، من الإضطهاد إلى التحرر والاستقلال.
