Erik Brannstrom #26 | 2021-2022 Clips

Brannstrom progressed this year and took some steps in the defensive zone compared to where he was last year. When Thomas Chabot got injured and was out for a good portion of the season, Brannstrom had to step up to the plate. The 22 year old was solid in his own right and got top power play time to show off his offensive ability. Throughout various parts of this video, Brannstrom can be seen using that crisp pass of his. He is also very good at manipulating and freezing defenders, on the offensive blue line in particular. Unfortunately he left a little more to be desired in terms of goals, as he didn't score any in the 53 games he played this season. Luckily Brannstrom is still young with room to improve and is a solid piece for the Senators moving forward.
