Ancient Persia’s religion was Zoroastrianism.
Islam is not the indigenous religion of Iran, nor was it the religion of the ancient Persian civilization.

Zoroastrianism is one of the oldest monotheistic belief systems in human history. It taught belief in one supreme God, moral choice, truth, responsibility, and free will thousands of years before later religious expansions.

Its core principle is simple and powerful:
Good thoughts. Good words. Good deeds.

This philosophy shaped Persian civilization, governance, and human values.

Figures like Cyrus the Great embodied these ideals. Cyrus believed in human dignity, freedom of belief, and justice. He freed slaves, allowed religious autonomy, and governed through tolerance. His legacy was so influential that he is referenced in the Bible as a righteous ruler. The Cyrus Cylinder is widely regarded as the first declaration of human rights.

These values did not disappear.

They live on in Persian culture today.
Nowruz, the Persian New Year, celebrates renewal, balance, and harmony with nature. It predates Islam by thousands of years and remains central to Persian identity.

This is why the Iranian people are fundamentally different from the current regime.

The Islamic Republic does not represent Persian values.
It represents violence, torture, repression, and terror.

What was imposed on Iran is not who Iranians are.

Empires fall. Regimes rot.
Truth outlives violence.
Persia is proof.
