Tom Harwood has questioned an unusual protest that took place outside the Labour Party Conference in Liverpool.

A group of children from six primary schools in the area led a protest calling for free school meals for all, in a demonstration set up by left wing group the National Education Union.

Speaking on GB News, Marie Beale, the Deputy Headteacher of Whitefield Community Primary School defended the protest, saying it was 'driven' by the children.

Reacting to the demonstrations, host Tom Harwood said: 'This was a school trip for a political campaign.'
