Jimi Hendrix, born Johnny Allen Hendrix on 27th November 1942 in Seattle, was a groundbreaking guitarist who became an iconic figure in the world of rock music. Emerging in the 1960s, his innovative guitar playing and electrifying stage presence revolutionized the music scene. Initially performing with The Isley Brothers and Little Richard, he gained prominence with his own group The Jimi Hendrix Experience.
Hendrix's blend of blues, rock and psychedelia produced timeless hits like "Hey Joe", "Purple Haze", and "All Along the Watchtower". His virtuoso guitar skills, marked by feedback, distortion, and wild solos, left audiences awestruck. His performances at the Monterey and Woodstock music festivals remain legendary.
