Half term holidays can be awkward when it comes to family breaks, a week doesn't seem enough for a 'proper holiday', but it seems a shame not to take the opportunity to go somewhere for a bit of fun before the winter sets in good and proper.

You could look at cheap flights somewhere nice, but wouldn't you rather not be squashing yourself in with everybody else trying to get away at the same time. Hiring a motorhome is what I'm going to do, my six year old daughter wants to visit some of her friends and family around the UK, so we are going to get a Trigano Tribute and go on tour. Oddly enough when we go to see my mum and dad in Stoke-on-Trent, she wants me to stay in the motorhome on the driveway, while she stays in my parents spare room in their bungalow! I guess she wants to feel a bit more grown up, stopping at her grandparents on her own, but with the comfort of knowing her Dad is just a couple of meters away.
