World Ocean Day 2022: Uniting for Ocean Conservation 🌊

This year, we aimed to make World Ocean Day our most memorable celebration yet, and with the help of our community, sponsors, and ocean advocates, we did just that!

Month-Long Oceanic Splendor: We launched an island-wide, month-long photography exhibition in June, showcasing global stories and shining a light on those tirelessly advocating for our oceans.

Celebrating Ocean Protectors: The aim was to celebrate and amplify the voices of those working to protect our oceans, raising awareness about their efforts and inspiring our community to actively follow and support them.

Collaboration for Conservation: At Ocean Culture Life, we believe in the power of collective action. Together, we can amplify our voices and have a greater impact in protecting our oceans.

A Day of Ocean Love: Our celebrations kicked off with a family-friendly event at 'Nude Food' beach café. The day included yoga, nutritious treats, inspiring talks from OCL co-founder Tamsin Raine and Ocean Advocate Danni Washington, and engaging activities for all ages.

Educational Workshops: Local schools joined us for our World Ocean Day storytelling workshops, designed to educate and inspire the next generation about the ocean's vital role and how to protect it.

Virtual Learning: We connected with hundreds of children across 30+ schools in a virtual workshop, discussing marine science and conservation with experts and storytellers.

Culminating with Community and Conservation: The celebration concluded with a beautiful evening on the beach, featuring sustainable dining, engaging discussions from ocean conservation groups, and a message of ongoing commitment to ocean protection.
