On November 24, 2025, 26-year-old Amanda Sheree Jones was shot multiple times and killed inside her Indianapolis home on Turtle Creek North Drive while her 2-year-old daughter was inside. Amanda Jones had called police multiple times reporting domestic disputes, harassment, and protection order violations at this same address. Just 9 hours before Amanda Sheree was found dead, officers had been called to her home.
Neighbors reported seeing two men fleeing the scene on surveillance video immediately after the shooting. Both were detained as persons of interest but later released. No arrests have been made in Amanda Jones's case.
Amanda's cousin said she repeatedly warned her about the dangerous relationship. Amanda had posted on social media just days before her death: "People don't care about you until you're gone."
