Sonic Unleashed Wii - Sonic Was Always Good

No. I'm not covering the Java Unleashed.

What a weird game to even exist. Making a whole companion game to your other game just because it couldn't run on the hardware. This could have been an original Sonic game instead. Seems like a waste to put all this effort into something that's only going to be seen as an inferior version of another game. And for some reason Sega seems to have no interest in ever rereleasing these companion games. It's sad. Some of them are really solid, and people should be able to play them more easily.

Man, discovering those extra levels was the most mindboggling thing I've seen in a while. It's not often I can have such a huge revelation about Sonic stuff. How fascinating. I would have loved to see a version of this game with 2 day acts per zone, as some of these maps are grossly underutilized in their mission-based forms. Oh, well. Still cool.
