In this interview with The New Indian Express - Kerala, noted demographer, former professor and researcher S Irudaya Rajan says that it was the migrant Malayali people who voted for the LDF in 2021, which led to the LDF 2.0 government being formed. Irudaya Rajan says that during COVID, about 15,000 people came back to Kerala from countries including those from the Gulf and voted for the LDF.
