The third in the series of Gameplay Animation Showreel reviews where I select aspiring animators looking to understand the needs of the games industry a little better and show what we look for in an animation showreel.

As an animator, animation director and someone that has built animation teams in the video games industry for 16 years I wanted to start sharing what we look for when hiring gameplay animators.

Thanks to Jason Newkirt for being allowing me to review his latest gameplay showreel, I found it really interesting to look over a vet of 18 years in the industry, some pieces that I wanted to highlight and expand upon, showing the thought process when creating a killer gameplay animation showreel.

I also add suggestions for future updates and things to improve the flow of his reel and where I feel that he could make his reel stand out from the crowd
