What if the Republic NEVER CREATED the Clone Army?

The Confederacy of Independent Systems was born out of a political movement initially started by the Sith to destabilize the galaxy, but this was a movement that had real support behind it. The Clone Army on the other hand was a completely artificial created military force. What would've happened if the Separatist Crisis happened but the Republic didn't have access to the clone army. Would they still have won the conflict against the CIS?
