Toyota Tundra Crashes into Commercial Truck, Driver Deceased

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 1-25-24 4:15 am
LOCATION: SB I-5 JSO Del Mar Heights
AREA/CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:

The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was southbound On the I-5 when they slammed into the back of a commercial truck hauling an extended trailer.
The Toyota was under the trailer, and the truck caught on fire inside the cab.
The firefighters arrived quickly and got out of the fire.
They are trying t extricate the driver, but the driver is deceased.
It’s yet to be known why the driver hit the truck.
The sex of the driver isn’t known at this time.

UPDATE:

1 male is deceased. The commercial truck driver did not feel the impact and dragged the truck for a distance before a witness was able to stop the driver.
