Kumbakonam Kadappa (கும்பகோணம் கடப்பா)

Moong dhal(பாசி பருப்பு) - 150 gms
Potato(உருளைக்கிழங்கு) - 2 medium size
Green chillies(பச்சை மிளகாய்) - 5 nos
Coconut oil(தேங்காய் எண்ணெய்) - 4 tsp
Bay leaves( பிரியாணி இலை) - 1 nos
Cinnamon sticks (பட்டை) - 1 nos
Mustard seeds (கடுகு) - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds (சீரகம்) - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves (கறிவேப்பிலை) - 8 nos
Onion (வெங்காயம்) - 2 nos medium
Tomato (தக்காளி) - 1 nos
Lemon juice(எலுமிச்சை சாறு) - 1 tsp
Dry Ginger (சுக்கு பொடி)

For Paste
Coconut(தேங்காய்) - 50 gms
Fennel seeds(சோம்பு) - 1 tsp
Green chilli(பச்சை மிளகாய்) - 1 nos
Garlic(பூண்டு) - 7 cloves
