The video aims at recognizing our volunteer’s efforts, sacrifice, and perseverance during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as uplifting their morale during these trying times - not just in Latin American but also across the globe.

The video was produced as a part of the UNV Online Volunteering Service project by La Casa de Carlota & Friends. Based on their organizational purpose and in a context of the COVID-19 pandemic, they decided to activate their creativity and applied for an online volunteer opportunity opened to support the UNV Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in the development of a creative and digital strategy, which seeks to recognize and position the added-value of the UN Volunteers in Latin Amerian and the Carribian that are tirelessly addressing the COVID-19 pandemic.

Part of their creative team are people with Down syndrome and autism: they truly believe that their abilities are huge valuable rather than the disabilities they were born with. In the realization phase, young people with disabilities were the ones in charge of giving the look and feel of the video. And what they did is incredible!
