Описание к видео Ship a Large Painting, CHEAP & Easy. How to package a rolled Canvas

Ms. Looney shares over 2 decades of experience shipping large paintings and floor clothes in this short how to video. Here is a step by step tutorial with a list of all the materials needed to ship a large painting safely and economically.

First, be sure to roll the canvas with the painted side out. If rolled painted side in, it can cause cracking and breaking of the painted surface.

Second, take the tightly rolled canvas and wrap it with paper, securing it on both ends. Next insert it into a plastic bag or wrap in multiple layrers of plastic to insure it's protected from moisture.
Before sealing the bag, be sure to insert a purchase order with all of the contact information of the sender and recipient.

The tube consists of thin sided 4" sewer pipe. One end is sealed with an end cape. The open end, is also closed with an end cap, only not sealed with adhesive cement.

The end is secured with multiple layers
of duct tape allowing the recipient easy opening, with no special tools or procedures.
