This weekend, we celebrate Independence Day, the Fourth of July—the birth of our nation. Independence is a powerful and compelling word. But are we truly independent?

As Christians, when we participate with Jesus in the sacred act of foot washing and partake in the emblems of His body and blood, we declare our dependence on Him. So—dependence or independence? Are these experiences in conflict, or can they coexist in a life of faith?

This Sabbath, we’ll explore this sacred tension and consider what it means to be grounded in Christ, our Cornerstone.
We invite you to join us with open hearts as we worship, reflect, and grow together in faith.
