gCGCE relative (f A# F A# D actual) aka "Open C" or "No-Finger C." I learned this song from the playing of George Gibson and a recording of Coy Morton, both out of Knott County, Kentucky. Note that Morton was a mentor of Gibson's during the 1950s and '60s--I think Gibson may have first learned to "pick up the neck" (i.e. play intricate music above the 7th position) from Coy Morton.

Alternate title is "Down the Road" and is often confused with "Cripple Creek."
