"Do you feel spooked?" A walk in Kennall Vale Former Gunpowder works, near Falmouth, Cornwall

Описание к видео "Do you feel spooked?" A walk in Kennall Vale Former Gunpowder works, near Falmouth, Cornwall

Reputed to be one of the most haunted woodlands in Cornwall, Kennall Vale is the site of a former gunpowder works which operated from 1812 to 1910. During this period, it produced barrels of gunpowder for the tin and copper mining industry.

Although safety was a concern, with the men required to wear pocketless woollen suits and soft leather shoes, there were still a number of fatal accidents. It is thought that the spirits of these men still linger in the valley today. Would we sense their presence?

Now managed by Cornwall Wildlife trust for the development of nature, there are a number paths and wooden walkways to help you explore the remaining buildings, which are in various stages of decay. Some still have machinery in them while others are more difficult to imagine their purpose.
