Women of Sandeshkhali want ‘hanging’ of Shahjahan Sheikh

Women of Sandeshkhali went to file a complaint against TMC leader Shahjahan Sheikh on February 28 in Sandeshkhali, West Bengal. They were seen getting into a verbal argument with the police officials regarding the submission of the complaints. The women of Sandeshkhali also spoke to ANI regarding their miserable condition in their native place.
One woman told ANI, “We don’t get to vote in the election. If we say something loudly then they used to torture us. We used to flee in the dark of the night. They used to destroy our houses. We never used to speak against them.”
Another local woman said, “We have told them about the development of the streets. They turned a deaf ear to us. They haven’t done any work.”
Another woman said, “No streets are in good condition. There are water taps but there is no water. That’s why we are going to complain. We want Shahjahan Sheikh to be hanged.”
