Obviously Americana isn't my usual genre, but I'm a big Isbell fan since he's arguably pound-for-pound our greatest living songwriter at the moment. Since my work on the new album is done and we're in the "hurry up and wait" phase, I thought it would be fun to try this song and put my own spin on it. And since it's a duet, I convinced my lovely bride to share her beautiful voice with the world.
