The Most Beautifully Simple Crochet Blanket I've Made - The Mixed Granny Stripe Tutorial

I'm always looking for beautifully simple crochet stitch patterns and I think this might be my favourite! Possibly the most beautifully simple blanket I've made! It's a 2 row repeat which is ideal for absolute beginners too.

I've been asked many times if the 'Mix It Up' Granny Squares can be done in rows instead and the answer is YES! Here it is! A mix of traditional and 'solid' rows. Absolutely stunning!

You can use ANY yarn and just use whatever hook size your chosen yarn recommends. For the tutorial I am using Mandala Baby and a 4.5mm hook. My example piece at the start was made using yarn from Poundland (a U.K. shop) and a 4.5mm hook.
