Wine and grape grower Charlie Barra talks about how he bought fifteen acres of prime hillside vineyard land in Ukiah, California before a competitor could steal the deal. Embedded is the wonderful story of how Martha Barra had designs on building a house on the property that Charlie seems to have weasled his way out of committing to build. Ask a Winemaker sat with Charlie at Barra of Mendocino in 2013, at the start of his 68th consecutive harvest.
