Vitale Barberis Canonico and Toraya Confectionery Showcooking May 19th-20th 2015

A novel, prestigious event took place in the new Vitale Barberis Canonico showroom. Vitale Barberis Canonico is among the oldest fabric companies in the world, vaunting over 352 years of experience and currently overseen by the family’s 13th generation.
Toraya, one of Japan’s oldest family-owned confectionary companies, has been in business for over five centuries, and was invited by Vitale Barberis Canonico to present its centuries-old tradition of preparing wagashi.
On the evenings of May 19th and 20th, 2015, in the Vitale Barberis Canonico showroom in Via Fatebenefratelli 16 in Milan, members of the Toraya family showed invited guests how they craft confectionary sweets designed exclusively for Vitale Barberis Canonico. These sweets were packaged in Vitale Barberis Canonico fabrics through a special wrapping performance.
