RECOMMENDED DRINK:
Core Ingredients:
1.5 oz Kraken Spiced Rum
0.75 oz Honey Liqueur (Bärenjäger or Drambuie, or whatever you can find. Honey Jack Daniels does not work must be a liqueur, trust me lol)
0.5 oz Ginger Liqueur
0.75 oz Fresh Lime Juice (can be adjusted to match the sweetness)
0.5 oz Season Syrup (see below)
2 dashes of Angostura Bitters
1 Egg White (creates a silky texture)
Garnish (Based on Season):
Spring (Vanilla Bean) – Vanilla bean pod or lavender sprig
Summer (Coconut) – Toasted coconut flakes or lime wheel
Fall (Cinnamon Clove) – Torched cinnamon stick or grated nutmeg
Winter (Peppermint Mocha) – Peppermint stick or chocolate shavings
How to make syrups:
Spring Version:
Syrup: Vanilla Bean Syrup
How to make it: Combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, and a split vanilla bean. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved and the vanilla bean infuses
Vanilla Extract just be careful on the amount of drops you use, little goes a long way
Summer Version:
Syrup: Coconut Syrup
How to make it: Mix 1 cup of coconut milk with 1 cup of sugar. Simmer until combined and smooth.
Fall Version:
Syrup: Cinnamon Clove Syrup
How to make it: Simmer 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, cinnamon sticks, and cloves until fragrant and combined. Remove large chunks.
Winter Version:
Syrup: Peppermint Mocha Syrup
How to make it: Combine 1 cup of water, 1 cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, and peppermint extract. Simmer until combined.
Instructions:
Dry Shake (No Ice):
In a cocktail shaker, add Kraken Spiced Rum, Honey Liqueur, Ginger Liqueur, Fresh Lime Juice, 0.5 oz of the chosen Seasonal Syrup, Angostura Bitters, and Egg White.
Shake vigorously for 10-15 seconds to emulsify the egg white and create a silky foam.
Shake with Ice:
Add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15-20 seconds until well chilled.
Strain & Serve:
Strain into a chilled coupe glass or a rustic camping mug.
Garnish Based on Season:
Spring (Vanilla Bean) – Vanilla bean pod or lavender sprig
