DESCRIPTION

The Broncolor lighting that we used for this shoot was incredibly simple and created some really beautiful tones. Most of the shots were lit using a one light setup of a Siros 800s monolight and the Broncolor Octabox 150 modifier set just above the models head.
The Octabox 150 is such a lovely modifier and the fact that we were celebrating Canada's 150 year birthday was a happy coincidence.
We did also use a Broncolor Para 133 to add some extra light to the legs on a few of the full body length shots to get an even light on the full length of the models.
Canada just turned 150 years old and we wanted to commemorate that with a fashion photoshoot with as much Canadian content as possible. With Canadian clothing designers, models, model agencies and photographer in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

We want to give a special thank you to Paul Hardy Design for loaning us some of his incredible clothing for this shoot. The coats, knitwear and pants are stunning. The design and movement qualities of the coats are a thing of beauty.

Katherine Calnan was the fashion photographer and retoucher for all of the images.
