Experts break down AUKUS submarines plan; unveiled in San Diego | 9 News Australia

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has met with US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in San Diego to reveal an historic AUKUS submarines announcement - a three phase plan in which Australia will purchase three US Virginia class submarines in the early 2030s, and then begin production of a nuclear-powered but conventionally armed submarine with the UK, to be called SSN-AUKUS.
