Sakura time! Finally the sakura are blooming and we are so excited! Join us on our sakura journey north! For the next month and a bit we will be chasing the sakura. Usually we travel from place to place and move gradually. This time we are going to whatever is blooming! This means our travel pattern is very wonky. We move up and down many times as we chase the sakura. Sakura petals are very fragile and do not last long, it's a tough game to make sure we get to these places at the perfect time.
The first place to bloom is Totsube, it just so happens to be known as the first blooming Sakura tree in Fukushima. It is 600 years old! After that we head to a nearby historic spot where we learn a lot about the local Aizu history.
