"Dear Edward" Star Taylor Schilling Talks Plane Crashes, Working with Connie Britton & Colin O'Brien

Taylor Schilling sat down with SheKnows' Reshma Gopaldas to talk about her new intense role on the AppleTV+ drama, "Dear Edward," co-starring Connie Britton and Colin O'Brien. As Lacey, Schilling plays a woman who loses her sister in a plane crash. She must take in her nephew (Colin O'Brien), the only survivor of the plane crash. Britton plays the widow of another passenger who dies in the plane crash. Schilling broke down exactly why she's so drawn to characters who seem to be downward-spiraling - from Piper on "Orange is the New Black," to Lacey. Schilling also revealed that her character and Britton's Dee Dee couldn't be more different. As for which of them would survive in jail, a la Orange is the New Black-style, Schilling has plenty to say.
