Sauesanking i Sirdal

Описание к видео Sauesanking i Sirdal

In Norway, the sheeps are kept inside the farm throughout the winter and winter fed. Often the number of sheep is limited by the capacity of the farmer for winter feed. The seep is released when plant growth is sufficent in spring or early summer. Because Norwegian farmers mostly lack enough landfill to feed throughout the year, the sheep are typically sent on udmarkbeite (communal pasture) in the summer months. Since the sheep's cloves are adapted to bedrock, not all fields are equally suitable. Many therefore send the sheep to the mountain in communal eating in the summer, where the habitat is also more adapted to the sheep.

The sheep are taken down from the mountain before the first snowfall, were they are divided up back to the farms they belong to and transported back to the farm.
