While Hawke, his family, and Aveline and Wesley attempt to flee the village of Lothering from the Darkspawn horde, they run into a familiar face from Origins: Flemeth the Shapeshifter, Morrigan's mother.

Arriving on the scene in the form of a high dragon, she saves their lives and offers them safe passage to Kirkwall in the Free Marches in exchange for a favor. A clan of Dalish Elves is settled outside of Kirkwall, and she wishes for Hawke to deliver an amulet to their Keeper, Marethari. (cool fact: she's the Keeper of the Warden's clan if you played through the Dalish Elf Origin)

From what I've seen in the demo, BioWare has really optimized Dragon Age 2's engine, and it was a much smoother play-through for me. The combat system is also more fast-paced and your characters more agile in battle. Although I mostly run-and-gunned, it seems like they haven't sacrificed much - if anything - from Origins' tactics and fundamentals. I'm not a huge fan of the conversation wheel, but I like it well enough. (it should help against those "Zevran" incidents - as Mike Laidlaw put it - in Origins where he would think you were flirting - oh, Zevran...)
