Camp Farwell, a Vermont, New England sleepaway summer camp for girls ages 6-17, has been a special place for its campers since 1889. Situated in the Green Mountain State, nestled 'Neath the Pines on Halls Lake, our magnificent 100-acre site offers a wonderful location for a rich variety of activities — from horseback riding to water sports, from music and dance to team endeavors and individual pursuits. Our wide range of activities include everything from Vaulting, Show Jumping and Stable Skills to Videography, Dance, and Glee Club. Camp Farwell is proud to have a variety of sporting activities available also, including Archery, Run Fitness and Tennis to name just a few. We also have many water-based activities campers can choose from, including water-skiing, sailing, kayaking, swimming and banana boating.

If there were three ingredients that could be said to form each girl’s Camp Farwell experience, they would be friendship, community spirit, and a warm family environment. At the heart of the Camp Farwell experience is an underlying belief in the importance of personal growth, self-confidence, and an appreciation for nature’s beauty.

Camp Farwell has thrived as a New England overnight summer camp for girls for over 130 years and through each summer the camp has continued to draw enthusiastic campers returning for their second or fifth season, new campers who leave with a heightened sense of beauty and friendship, and a dedicated staff who love the work they do and respect the role that Camp Farwell plays in the campers’ lives.
