Описание к видео Changing Gears How/When - Up/Down - Driving Lesson!

When it comes to “Changing Gears How” and “When the Gear change Up and Down”, this is the Driving Lesson for you.

This video will help you how to change gears and when to change gears up and down.

Changing gears in a manual car for learners it can be a little difficult in the beginning. They find change car gear while driving it’s a little tough and this is when this video comes in with the help.

This video will help learners how to change gear and when to change gear at what speed.

Gear sticks are a standard of H shape in the UK. 1st gear starts on top and it’s goes down for 2nd and up for 3rd and down for 4th and up for 5th, so it goes down and up then down and up. This is the normal standard gears in the UK cars, only exception is the reverse gear. The reverse gear could change from car to car, different cars will have the reverse in different place.

When the car is in neutral the gear stick will automatically stay in between 3rd and 4th gear. So to change gear to 3rd you just push up and changing gear to 4th you just pull down. For 1st gear you push the gear lever towards left and push up and for 2nd you push left and down. For 5th you push towards right and up and for 6th you push right and down.

We talked about how to change gear now let’s talk about when to change gear. You move the car from stationary in 1st gear unless you’re moving off on a steep hill. Then take your car to 10MPH and change gear up to 2nd, then once you reach 20MPH you change gear up to 3rd and you stay on 3rd until you reach 30MPH. Once you reach 30MPH and it looks you’re on a long stretch road where you’ll be driving on 30MPH for a while then change gear up to 4th. But if not and you can see there are obstacles coming up, maybe a bend, traffic light, pedestrian crossing or something that you think you you’ll need to slow down for then leave it on 3rd gear. Up to 40MPH 4th gear and if long stretch of road then 5th gear and 40MPH onwards leave it to 5th gear. If your car has 6th gear then 50MPH and plus go to 6th gear.

In general, apply the following:

1st Gear - Move off.
10MPH - 2nd Gear.
20MPH - 3rd Gear.
30MPH - 4th Gear.
40MPH - 5th Gear.

So if you slow down or reduce your speed for some reason then look at your speed after you’ve reduced and change gear down according to the speed of your car.
