Motosaku Akagi, known as “Motorcycle Charlie” to his fellow 8th Hussars, was of Japanese descent. He served overseas with the Hussars during the Second World War. He suffered a tragic accident which forever affected his life but his fellow Hussars never forgot him. The 8th Hussars Museum is proud to play a role in remembering and honouring this important individual from the 8th Hussar Regimental history. We will remember them.
