Bedroom Deep Cleaning List
Decluttering
Start with visible clutter/hot spots
chairs/benches/couches/bed/top of dresser
Declutter dresser/clothing
Declutter top of dresser if you didn’t do it on the previous step
Dust and wipe drawers
Fold and put away clothes
I like to add a little dryer sheet in my drawers but I’ve seen people use scent beads in little pouches or those little baking soda pod thing
Declutter top and inside of nightstand
wipe down inside of drawer and devices in there like kindle/iPad
Put everything back
Declutter under the bed
pull everything out and clean/wipe down any containers or drawers
Declutter stored items under the bed

Cleaning
Strip bed and throw sheets/pillows in wash
Wash pet beds and blankets if in your bedroom
I start cleaning at the ceiling and work my way down to the floor
Dust cobwebs in corners near or around the ceiling area
While I’m here I also get any cobwebs in corners running down the wall and/or behind the door
Dust ceiling fans/vents/high ledges
I also dust the wall as I work my way down but you can dust all walls in one step especially if you’re dividing these ups into daily tasks
Dust picture frames, mirrors, light switches and outlets
Dust/vacuum window frame and blinds (wash or vacuum your drapes if you have them)
Dust dresser, items on dresser/tv and wipe everything down
Dust and wipe down nightstands including lamps and anything else you keep on your nightstand (I also vacuum under my nightstand at this point so I don’t have to move furniture later)
Dust and wipe down bed frame
I also like to flip my mattress in the spring but didn’t here since I have a new mattress
When mattress is being flipped vacuum/dust/wipe down inside and behind bed frame/any hard to reach areas
Dust any other furniture in room and vacuum/clean any seating in your home
Vacuum/dust base boards
Wash walls (I use my swiffer with a damp cloth and spray a little all purpose spray on it and mop my walls)
Wipe baseboards I use a damp cloth with a little bit of soap to clean and then dry with a dry cloth)
Vacuum floors
Mop floors
