I took my dad and cousin out to two forgotten ROC bunkers, built for a team of brave volunteers who would monitor a nuclear attack on Britain if it occurred. Hidden in plain sight in the English countryside, these places built in every other town nationwide are surprisingly absent from our collective attention. With the first one sadly demolished since my last visit only five years ago, I was glad to see the other two remained unchanged with the latter still holding its original furnishings.
