These are the traditional Cantucci from Tuscany, made with love by grandmas and handed down from generation to generation. I feel honored to be able to share with you the recipe that reminds me of my childhood.

Ingredients:

• All-purpose flour: 2 ⅔ cups (335 grams)
• Softened butter: 5 tbsp. (70 grams)
• Granulated sugar: ⅔ cup (135 grams)
• Eggs: 2
• Baking powder: ½ tsp.
• Baking soda: ½ tsp.
• Salt: A pinch
• Lemon zest: From 1/4 of a large lemon or 1/2 of a smaller lemon
• Raw almonds: 1 cup (135 grams)
