We went to the dry lands of Joshua Tree and there we met Eva Soltes, a music producer by profession who's been devoting her time to Permaculture education. She's worked many years with the music composer Lou Harrison, who, in his last years of life, built a straw bale house, which today serves as music and arts centre.
Right cross the street from the Harrison House, Eva, her partner Damian Lester, and many other people, transformed a useless piece of land into a productive and amazing site, full of garden beds, fruit trees, native trees and arts all around the place. Check this out to see how the Permaculture concepts have been helping them to grow food in the middle of the desert.

Nós fomos até as terras secas de Joshua Tree, e lá conhecemos Eva Soltes, uma produtora musical por profissão que vem usando de seu tempo para a educação de Permacultura. Ela trabalhou muitos anos com o compositor musical Lou Harrison, quem, nos seus últimos anos de vida, construiu uma casa revestida de palha e que hoje serve como um centro artístico e musical.
Do outro lado da rua da casa de Harrison, Eva, seu parceiro Damian Lester, e muitas outras pessoas, transformaram um pedaço de terra sem nada, em um produtivo e incrível terreno, cheio de camas de cultivo, árvores frutíferas, árvores nativas e muitas artes espalhadas pelo local.
