Luthier Board Game First Impression Review

The Patrons are calling and your family needs work. Dust off the old workbench and get to work crafting instraments for some of history’s greatest composers and world leaders. Fame and Fortune await.

In Luthier, you are set with the task of apeasing Patron requests through a combination of crafting instraments, repairing broken ones, and charming the town with wonderful performances. Why not visit the Salon where you can convince wealthy nobles to part with some goods in exchange for a song, head down to the market to buy up desperatly needed goods for your thriving enterprise. Visit the balcony for a quick injection of cash, convincing apprentices to join your buisness or, if you are esteamed enough, claim public victory goals.

High effort in specific locations will bear extra fruit as you will unlock additional abilities for future excursions to the same location.

What does all this work produce? While coveted first chair position in the area of control section of the orchestra yeilding more resources and extra end game scoring.

A truly magnificant game. Perfectly merging worker placement, resource management, take that, area of control, strategy, and a little bit of RNG together to create a perfect game.
