Author Douglas Murray has called out the “absurd” boxing controversy at the Olympics, where athletes with XY chromosomes are allowed to compete in female competitions.

“I do hope the IOC looks at this again. It is totally unfair,” he told Sky News Australia host Rita Panahi.

“Anyone who knows anything about male and female development means that even if you go onto some sort of hormone drug at some stage, if you have gone through development as a teenager as a man, you are going to have larger hands, larger shoulders, different bone densities, you are going to have much more strength.”
