"Cobra 29" Mod "Uniden PC76" Mods. Swing kits, Dead Keys, Power Supplies & Crooked CB Shops. Part 1

In this video I talk about "Cobra 29" Mods, which is the same as "Uniden PC76" Mods. I give some info about Swing kits, Dead Keys, Power Supply Voltages & Crooked CB Shops. This is Part 1, be sure to watch the next video also. It is Much shorter.

The two main things I show in this video is:

1) what a "swing kit" does to these radios.
...a) it lowers the deadkey
...b) it allows the modulation to swing high

2) how just a couple volts extra on a power supply can make a 25 to 35% increase in power output on a CB Radio.

The main reason I show what the voltage does is mainly because there are a lot of radio shops out there that show you all this increase in power on your radio when you go to pick it up. Problem is that most likely your car/truck or even your power supply you use at home is not set at the high voltage that the radio shop used to show you all that power. Just make sure if a shop shows you the increase in power when you pick up your radio, make sure their power supply is somewhere close to 13.8 volts, but not over that.
